Welcome to CLAN Tax LLC. These Terms of Service govern your use of our services. By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Definitions
“Company,” “We,” “Our,” or “Us” refers to CLAN Tax LLC, a tax preparation and related services provider. “Client,” “You,” or “User” refers to individuals or entities using our services.
Scope of Services
CLAN Tax LLC provides tax preparation and related services for individual taxpayers and businesses within the United States and abroad. Our services include the preparation and electronic filing of federal and state tax returns.
Eligibility
To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to receive such services. By using our services, you warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Client Responsibilities
As a client, you are responsible for providing accurate and complete information to ensure the proper preparation of your tax returns. You must provide all relevant documents, receipts, responses and authorizations requested by your designated tax preparer in a timely manner. Failure to do so may result in delays, additional fees, or missed filing deadlines. Any reliance on the information provided is at your own risk.
You agree to promptly provide any clarifications or additional information your tax preparer requires to complete your return accurately. If we have not received all required information on time, we cannot guarantee that your returns will be completed before the deadline. If your tax preparer requests additional information or clarification, you agree to respond as soon as possible to prevent delays in the preparation of your return.
We must receive all necessary information to prepare your returns no later than 15 days before your intended filing deadline. The following deadlines apply to U.S. Individual Income Tax returns:
- Filing by April 15 due date:
- All information must be provided by March 31.
- Filing by June 15 due date (Expats only, automatic extension):
- All information must be provided by May 31.
- Filing by October 15 due date (If Form 4868 timely filed, automatic extension):
- All information must be provided by September 30.
- Filing by December 15 due date (If December 15 letter extension request filed and accepted):
- All information must be provided by November 30.
If we have not received all required information by these deadlines, we may be unable to complete your return on time, and you may be subject to late filing penalties or interest imposed by the IRS or state tax authorities.
We assume no liability for any penalties, interest, or other consequences resulting from late filings or payments due to the client’s failure to provide complete and accurate information on time.
Data Security and Privacy
Privacy and Confidentiality
We highly value your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal and financial information. Our practices regarding data security and confidentiality are in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy. When you use our services, you implicitly consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Confidential Handling
Your tax-related information and personal data are treated with the utmost confidentiality and diligence. Our team of tax professionals strictly adheres to robust data security protocols. Access to your information is limited to those with a genuine need-to-know for the sole purpose of delivering the services you have engaged us for.
Credentialed Tax Professionals
Your designated tax professional will always be a credentialed tax professional. Either an Enrolled Agent, a Tax Attorney, or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who also possesses the necessary experience and in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Expertise
Our tax professionals have undergone rigorous training and have obtained the necessary credentials to practice. They may be residing in the United States or other countries, allowing us to cater to a diverse clientele with varying tax needs.
Client Representation
In cases where representation is required before tax authorities, such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), our Tax Professionals are authorized to represent clients and handle tax-related matters on their behalf. Such services are to be quoted on an individual basis and you will be able to decide before proceeding as well.
Fees and Payment Terms
Our fees are outlined on our website and are subject to change at our discretion. The fees you are quoted for our services will remain unchanged once you agree or until the provided expiration date, whichever occurs first. Payment for our services is due upon completion of the tax return when the final price, as agreed upon, will be presented to you in the form of an invoice or checkout page. We accept payments through a visible payment processor. Upon payment of the invoice, the product will immediately become available for your review. Please note that refunds for services rendered are not provided, except as required by law.
Accuracy of Information
While we strive for accuracy, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the information you provide. We are not liable for any errors or consequences arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.
Tax Advice Disclaimer

Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time for any reason. Upon termination, you must pay any outstanding fees for services provided before the termination date.
Miscellaneous
These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and CLAN Tax LLC regarding the use of our tax preparation services. If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
